The Upendra Yadav-led Federal Socialist Forum said on Wednesday they will not accept the Constitution Amendment Bill that the Prachanda government registered in the Parliament on Tuesday. Yadav said in a press release that the government has made a mistake by not incorporating their issues in the Constitution Amendment Bill, referring to Madheshi Morcha and Federal Alliance’s demands. He pointed that their demands creation of 10 provinces and redrawing of provincial boundaries remain unaddressd. FA and Madheshi Morcha have made demands concerning five districts Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kailali and Kanchanpur he said, adding that the Bill has not addressed these concerns. Forum further pointed that amendment regarding the National Assembly is also incomplete. As things stand, Madheshis will never have a majority in the assembly, it claimed. Forum pointed that the Constitution has not guaranteed elevation of foreign women, who become naturalised citizens after their marriage with Nepali nationals, to high (constitutional) positions, the press release
