Rumpum Jhapa-11 defeated Armed Police Force Club 3-0 in the finals of the Mechi Netralaya 2nd Kakadvitta Gold Cup in the district on Saturday. The Jhapa-11 led the match 1-0 after Top Bista of the rival team scored a suicide goal in the 77th minute of the second half. Karna Limbu of the Jhapa-11 netted a second goal in the 90th minute before scoring a final goal, leading to the victory. Organised by Kakadvitta Football Training Centre, the match was played on the ground of Kakadvitta Secondary School. Meanwhile, the winner was handed out Rs 401,000 in cash while the first runner-up Rs 201,000 in cash. Yugesh Gurung of the Jhapa-11 was declared best player and was given out Rs 25,000 in cash.
