Parliament passes condolence proposal

Kathmandu, Jan 8: The meeting today of the Legislature-Parliament expressed sorrow over the demise of Ex-member of parliament Maniram Pokharel, while extending heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
The meeting also passed a condolence proposal, paying tributes to Pokharel who was elected to the House of Representatives from Khotang district in 2015 B.S. The proposal by Speaker Onsari Gharti was unanimously passed by the meeting.
Then Member of Parliament representing the Nepali Congress, Pokharel died on January 2. He was 87.
The Legislature-Parliament meeting was then postponed for 15:00 hrs today.
